Dear Lankershim Families,

October and November are exciting and meaningful months at Lankershim Elementary! As we move through the fall season, our school is filled with learning, celebration, and gratitude.

We are thrilled to celebrate Latin/Hispanic Heritage Month with special performances on October 24 and October 27. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to honor the diverse cultures and traditions that enrich our community.

To close out October, we look forward to our annual Halloween Parade on October 31. It’s always a fun and festive event where our students, staff, and families come together in the spirit of creativity and school pride. Following that, our Fall Festival will bring even more excitement and community connection — a perfect way to celebrate the season!

As we move into November, we enter a time of gratitude. This month reminds us to pause and appreciate our amazing school community — our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and hardworking students. November also marks our Parent-Teacher Conferences, an important time to collaborate and discuss student progress. Together, we can ensure every child continues to grow and achieve their educational goals for the year.

Queridas familias de Lankershim,

¡Octubre y noviembre son meses emocionantes y significativos en Lankershim Elementary! A medida que avanzamos en la temporada de otoño, nuestra escuela se llena de aprendizaje, celebración y gratitud.

Estamos muy contentos de celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana/Latina con presentaciones especiales los días 24 y 27 de octubre. Esta es una maravillosa oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes honren las diversas culturas y tradiciones que enriquecen a nuestra comunidad.

Para finalizar octubre, esperamos con entusiasmo nuestro Desfile de Halloween el 31 de octubre. Siempre es un evento divertido y festivo donde nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias se reúnen con creatividad y orgullo escolar. Después, nuestro Festival de Otoño traerá aún más alegría y unión comunitaria — ¡una manera perfecta de celebrar la temporada!

Al entrar en noviembre, comenzamos un tiempo de gratitud. Este mes nos recuerda hacer una pausa y apreciar a nuestra increíble comunidad escolar — a nuestros dedicados maestros, padres de familia solidarios y estudiantes trabajadores. Noviembre también marca nuestras Conferencias de Padres y Maestros, un momento importante para colaborar y hablar sobre el progreso de los estudiantes. Juntos, podemos asegurarnos de que cada niño continúe creciendo y alcanzando sus metas educativas de este año.

Gracias por su apoyo continuo y por ser parte fundamental de que Lankershim Elementary sea un lugar donde cada estudiante pueda aprender, crecer y triunfar.
